Know the Basic Rules of Poker Hand – Playing poker is a game that requires a lot of strategy and the right concentration to get a lot of advantages. Five cards in sequence in the same suit is called a straight flush. If two straight flushes compete, the hand with the highest card in the flush order wins. Four of a kind

Any four cards of the same rank are four of a kind. If two players have four of a kind, the hand with the higher four cards wins.

Full House

Three of a kind and one pair make up the full house. A full house with three of a kind with the highest ranking card wins against another full house with a low ranking three of a kind.

Water

A hand of any five cards all of the same suit is called a flush. A flush with the highest ranking card beats another flush. If the highest card of each player’s hand tie, the next highest ranking card determines the winner, and so on.

Straight

A hand of any five consecutive cards, but not of the same suit is a straight. The straight with the highest ranking card at the head of the sequence is the winner against another straight hand. Probably the highest straight is the AKQJ-10. The lowest possible straight is 5-4-3-2-A.

Three of a kind

Three cards of the same value, such as three 8s, form a three of a kind. The highest ranked three card wins against three other of a kind. Three aces are the highest; three 2s is the lowest.

Two couples

Two cards of the same rank and two matching cards of another form a rank of two pairs. The hand with the highest ranking pair wins against another two pair hand. If the pair’s relationship is highest ranking, the hand with the second highest ranking pair wins. If all pairs in both hands tie, the hand with the highest ranking fifth card wins.

One pair

Any two cards of the same rank form a pair. The hand with the highest ranking pair wins against another hand one pair. If both hands have the same pair, the highest ranked unmatched card in the hand determines the winner. If the highest ranked unmatched card ties, the next highest ranked unmatched card is compared, and so on.

High card

A hand without matching cards is called a high card. Hands are often referred to as “dwarfs!” With two competing high card hands, the hand with the highest ranking card wins. If the highest ranked unmatched card ties, the next highest ranked unmatched card is compared, and so on.

Poker Rules Other Hands Rules For Aces

In a straight, an Ace can be ranked high or low, depending on the order of the cards. high aces in the order of AKQJ-10. Low-ranking Aces in the order of 5-4-3-2-A. You cannot use aces to wrap a lower order with a higher order, such as 3-2-AKQ. Aces rank high in all other hands except low aces in the low (high/low) hand of the game.
